How to Post your Free Ad at Carsons Classifieds

Getting Started

Posting an ad at Carsons Classifieds is really quite simple. Create an account, login, fill out a simple form telling us exactly what to include in your ad. Photos are not required but strongly encouraged. You know what they say, "a picture is worth a 1000 words". Upload any photos you like, you can upload as many as 3 per ad.

Step 1 If you haven't already you'll need to create an account. The only things required are, • 1) create a user name • 2) include your email address • 3) create a unique password Creating an account does not require any personal information. Only those three things, User Name, Email Address, Password. Your User Name will be displayed in all of your ads so be creative. If you are a hobbiest, an entrepreneur, or have a business we suggest using the business name. ie: Smith Pottery. The same goes for clubs and organizations. ie: Troop 46

How We Protect Your Information

All of the customer data that we collect is protected against unauthorized access in a secured, proprietary database. To extend this security, we are currently engineering secure server software (SSL) solutions which encrypt all the information that you input before it is sent to us, and to encrypt all the information that we send to you. In this manner, both the profile data, and the transmission via the Internet, your data is secured.

Why We Collect Information and How We Use It

When you use our site actively (to place an ad, an order or a bid), we may need to know your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and payment information. This allows us to process and fulfill your transaction and to notify you of the status of your order.

If you ask to be informed of future services and site enhancements, we will need your e-mail address in order to send you the information you requested.

When you enter a contest, a lottery or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address and e-mail address so that we can administer the contest and notify winners.
